  • ½ kilogram taro
    0.5 kilogram
  • ½ cup olive oil
    0.5 cup
  • 1 lemon
    1 piece
  • 1 bunch of coriander
    1 bunch
  • 6 cloves of garlic
    6 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon

    Peel the taro while wearing kitchen gloves. Cut into thick pieces shaped like fried potatoes and soak in a bowl of sour water (squeeze half a lemon into the water).

    To prepare the coriander sauce; wash the coriander and dry it; finely chop the leaves. Peel the garlic and mash it with a little salt until it becomes like a paste. Set aside.

    Place a pot of water on the stove and bring the water to a boil. Add the taro to the water and cook on low heat for 15 minutes until it softens and cooks well. Drain from the water.

    Heat a large frying pan, add the oil mixture, and when hot, add the taro pieces and fry on all sides until crispy; add the mashed garlic, coriander, and chili flakes and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
