   In a deep bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, and set the bowl aside.

   In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar using the electric mixer until the mixture is homogeneous. Add the egg and vanilla and beat the mixture again until combined.

   Gradually pour the flour mixture over the butter and sugar while continuously mixing on low speed until a cohesive dough forms.

   Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and using an ice cream scoop, scoop the dough into balls and space them 5 cm apart.

   Bake the cookies for 12 minutes in a preheated oven until they start to spread.

   Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place a piece of marshmallow in the center of each cookie, pressing down slightly to adhere.

   Return the baking sheet to the oven until the marshmallows start to melt, about two minutes. Then transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
