In a small bowl, mix the spices well.

In a pot over heat, melt 3 tablespoons of ghee, add the spices and stir for a minute until slightly browned.

Add the onion to the spices and stir until softened, then add the chicken and stir well to brown.

Add the tomatoes, yogurt, mint, salt, and water, and let the pot simmer until the chicken is cooked.

In a bowl, wash the rice thoroughly with water and drain.

In a pot over heat, melt 2 tablespoons of ghee, then add the remaining onion and stir until softened.

Add the rice and salt over the onion and let the pot simmer until cooked.

Before the rice is fully cooked, place the chicken mixture over the rice pot, then cover the pot and let it cook until the rice is completely done.
