In a deep bowl, place the hot water, sugar, and yeast, stir together and let sit for 15 minutes until the yeast activates.

Add half of the flour to the yeast and knead until a slightly liquid dough is formed, then let it rest for 10 minutes.

Add the salt and the remaining flour in three additions, continuing to knead by hand for 7 minutes until a cohesive, elastic, and non-sticky dough is formed.

Add the butter in four additions (one tablespoon each time) and continue kneading each time until the butter is well incorporated into the dough.

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap, letting it sit in a warm place for one hour until it doubles in size.

Turn the dough out and knead it slightly by hand, then divide it into two equal parts, rolling each part into a square the same length as the loaf pan.

Fold the square into three layers to match the size of the loaf pan and place each section in the greased pan, covering the pans with plastic wrap and letting them rise for 45 minutes.

Place the pans in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely, then slice with a cake knife and serve.
