    To prepare the syrup, place the sugar and water in a pot over heat.

    When the mixture starts to boil, add the lemon juice and let it simmer until it thickens, then add the orange blossom water. Remove the syrup from the heat and set aside to cool.

    To prepare the cream, dissolve the powdered milk in water, and place 2 1/2 cups of the dissolved milk in a pot over heat and let it warm.

    Dissolve the cornstarch and sugar in the remaining milk, then add the mixture to the milk on the heat.

    Stir the mixture continuously over heat until it thickens, add the orange blossom water, then remove the cream from the heat.

    To prepare the mafrouka, place the semolina in a frying pan over low heat, and stir for 5 minutes.

    Cut the butter into small pieces, place it over the semolina, and stir the mixture well over the heat until the butter melts and is absorbed by the semolina.

    Add the powdered sugar to the mixture and stir until the semolina turns dark brown. Then add the syrup and rose water to the semolina mixture.

    Stir the mixture well for 5 minutes until it becomes a soft and cohesive dough, then remove from heat and let it cool.

    To serve, spread the mafrouka on a plate, cover it with a layer of cream, and garnish with roasted almonds, pine nuts, and pistachios.
