Ingredients

Steps

Dissolve the sugar in 1 ½ cups of water over medium heat. Then add the rose water and orange blossom water and continue stirring until the mixture starts to boil.

Add the lemon juice and stir the syrup well, then let it simmer until it thickens slightly, then remove from heat and set aside.

Mix all the ingredients except for the tahini in a large bowl until a dough forms.

Grease a baking sheet with tahini and pour the Namoura dough into it. Let it rest at room temperature for 1 ½ hours.

Preheat the oven to medium heat, about 180°C.

Place the baking sheet in the oven for 30 minutes, until well cooked. Then remove it.

Cut the Namoura into diamond-shaped squares, then return it to the oven and place it on the top rack until it turns golden. Turn off the heat.

Immediately pour the syrup over the Namoura and leave it in the oven for a while to absorb the syrup.

Remove the Namoura from the oven and place an almond in the center of each square.
