    In a large bowl, sift the flour and make a well in the center, gradually pour in the yeast mixture and then the olive oil, mixing the flour well to form a cohesive dough, knead well for 4 minutes, then set aside to rest.

    To prepare the tomato sauce, in a saucepan over low heat, add the oil and then the onion, sauté until softened, add the tomatoes, olive oil, sugar, bay leaves, thyme, and tomato paste, stir well and season with salt and pepper.
