Heat the oil in a pan and add the onion, frying well until it softens, then add the chicken and season with cinnamon and salt.

Add water to the chicken and onion, and let them cook for 45 minutes until the chicken is done.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the broth and place it in a tray to brown in the oven, then strain the broth and return it to the pot to cook the rice.

Add the rice to the broth, stir, and leave on high heat until the rice absorbs all the broth.

Lower the heat, then add the milk to the rice, stir well, and leave on the heat for half an hour or until the rice absorbs half of the milk.

Place the rice on a serving dish and put the chicken in the center, then pour the melted butter over them. Serve the Salik hot, and enjoy.
