To prepare the dough, in a bowl, mix the flour with the sugar and a pinch of salt well.

Add the butter cubes and knead the ingredients by hand until a smooth and soft dough is obtained.

Roll out the dough in a large tart pan or in two medium pans.

Cover the dough with aluminum foil and place some dried beans or chickpeas on top to prevent it from puffing up during baking.

Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until cooked and browned on the bottom. Remove the aluminum foil and beans from the dough and discard them. Let the dough cool.

To prepare the pastry cream, mix all the ingredients well in a pot. Place the pot over low heat, stirring the ingredients constantly until the cream thickens.
